Richards was born at Penarth, Wales. She attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After appearing in short films, she was cast in the S4C Welsh language magazine show Mosgito. She also was in short films. Her roles were often featured in BBC TV programs Crash and Being Human. [2] In 2012 she was given the role of an executive secretary who had an exaggerated English accent in Breaking In. [3] In the month of January, 2012 she became a regular in the show Breaking In. [4][5] Sharon together with Sharlto Copley, played the role she played by Gonzalo Lopez Gallego's horror film Open Grave. [2][6] She played Barbara Kean from 2014 to 2019 on FOX Television's series Gotham. She was the director of the fifth season episode "The Trial of Jim Gordon" that premiered on March 7, 2019. [1][88. FOX says that she's currently appearing in an unreleased independent film, That Good Night with Max Brown and John Hurt. She also appeared in The Quiet Ones, Open Grave, and in television, Being Human in the UK. She is currently residing in New York, Los Angeles and London.
