Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is a nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen was already a talented entertainer in the early stages. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after having attended her first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. Also, Bell began taking classes in acting privately. Bell had a role that was not credited of Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre following her the completion of her studies. Bell quit university in 2001 to take on the role Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell made her first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and the credits are all that depict her. Bell played in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
